DeLon Performs at Fremont High School

The show was put on by the talented students of the Take Action program at Fremont High School, where DeLon gave an outstanding performance to the student body who greeted him with signs and large posters showing their appreciation for his visit. Not only did he perform songs from his great new lineup, DeLon also gave the student body some words of wisdom and encouraged them to stay in school, stay positive, and continue learning.

The ideas of students hanging out in the streets after school, or doing drugs and limiting themselves to only what is negative, is a subject that DeLon avidly works to eradicate. His ability to sit down with kids from every style, attitude, and corner of the world, can be attributed to his communication skills that he infuses in his music and in down to earth conversation. Being well versed in many languages, including English and Spanish, and having dealt with many of the same hardships that high school kids experience, DeLon can relate to teens and make them feel visible and confident at an age and society that at times, can hinder a student's potential.

"I believe that you are more than what you see on TV, or in the streets, and more than what society tells you is ok. You are worth your education, reaching your highest potential, you are worth being the best version of yourself that you could be. Fremont make some noise!" - DeLon

And the students screamed with excitement. They embraced DeLon's message, joining him on stage to dance and become apart of the show. Teachers and parents joined as well until there were more people on stage than in their seats. Most importantly, everyone left the concert with a smile, especially the students, who eagerly waited in line to get autographed pictures and posters from DeLon himself upon the concerts end.

"Everyone had an amazing time and DeLon really connected with these kids. They are great kids, but his music, presence, and advice makes them greater." - Ted Johnson, Administrator for Beyond The Bell

"His performace was so bomb and I'm so happy he came! He has to come back!" - Maria Lopez, Student

"He really showed these kids a great time and gave them an even greater message. I will welcome him back to my school anytime and will definitely recommend him to more schools!" - Simone Charles, Specialist
